Lazy Guy Distillery

Mixed-Use Destination

Location Kennesaw, Georgia
Size Mixed-Use
Scope Full Architectural Design

Lazy Guy Distillery is a landmark mixed-use destination designed to anchor and activate downtown Kennesaw. The architectural vision blends historic downtown character with the bold, authentic expression of a working distillery — creating a space that feels rooted in place while distinctly modern.

The street-facing façade reflects traditional masonry proportions and arched window rhythms that complement the surrounding historic district. Behind this refined exterior, the warehouse portion showcases a more industrial aesthetic, celebrating the distillation process through clean lines, honest materials, and functional form. A defining element is the rooftop grain silo — both a symbolic nod to the craft of distilling and a powerful branding feature.

The hospitality component features a high-end tapas restaurant and bar with warm exposed brick walls, dark open ceilings, refined lighting, and clean-lined furnishings. The material palette reinforces authenticity while elevating the dining experience, allowing guests to feel immersed in both craft and comfort.

The covered patio and walk-up bar extend the experience outdoors, while expansive lawn areas reinforce the brand's identity as "Kennesaw's Favorite Front Yard," encouraging gathering, events, and community engagement. Lazy Guy Distillery was designed as more than a building — it is a destination where craft production, upscale dining, and outdoor social life converge.
