Ted's Montana Grill

This project represents the development of a new Ted's Montana Grill location in Athens, Georgia, situated within an existing retail strip center. Designed by R-Development, JTC Architecture was brought onto the team to produce high-quality architectural illustrations and develop the Construction Documents that translated the design intent into a permit-ready, buildable set.

The façade design elevates the tenant suite with a strong, authentic presence that reflects the Ted's Montana Grill brand. A combination of natural stone, brick, steel detailing, and bold signage creates a timeless western-inspired aesthetic while complementing the surrounding retail context. A prominent parapet element establishes vertical emphasis, while the extended canopy and integrated patio space enhance the pedestrian experience.

The design incorporates outdoor dining areas framed by custom railing systems and structured shade elements, creating an inviting atmosphere that extends the restaurant's footprint beyond the interior. Careful attention was given to storefront proportions, material transitions, and signage integration to ensure brand consistency and visual impact within the constraints of a multi-tenant retail environment.

This project demonstrates the collaborative process between design vision and technical execution — bringing a nationally recognized restaurant brand to life within an existing retail framework while maintaining both aesthetic quality and constructability.
